Babila Mohanarajan is a graduate from the Kinesiology and Health Science and Athletic Therapy Program at York University. She is a certified athletic therapist and trainer in both Canada and in the US and is currently working towards her massage licensing. She has a strong passion for sports and helping others.
Having worked with various sports teams at many levels (university, private school, OJHL, OJLL, etc.), working different events including the North American Indigenous Games and FIBA U18 Americas and at a sports medicine clinic, she is well accustomed to the many environments offered by the Athletic Therapy field and has developed a deeper appreciation for the discipline and profession. When she’s not treating her athletes, she likes to watch sports, listen to music, learn choreographed dance routines and read fiction novels.

Diane Ouimet joined the StFX Athletic Therapy staff in August 2017. A native of Ottawa, has been practicing Athletic Therapy for the past ten years, most recently as the Athletic Therapist for the Halifax Mooseheads of the QMJHL. She worked a total of nine seasons in the QMJHL, starting out with three years with the Shawinigin Cataractes. A highlight of her major junior career was a Memorial Cup win in 2013 with the Mooseheads. Diane has also been involved with Hockey Canada’s Women’s National Team Program since 2013. She has worked as an athletic therapist with both the Development and Senior Women’s programs, most recently representing Canada at the 2023 IIHF Women’s World Championships in Brampton, Ontario, where Canada won silver.
While working in hockey, Diane also expanded her manual therapy training, completing her education to become a Registered Massage Therapist. She has extensive clinical experience in the domain, having worked as an RMT part-time in a Halifax-area sports clinic while working with the Mooseheads and continuing to see private clients since re-locating to Antigonish. A graduate of Concordia University, she was a former varsity soccer athlete. She also recently earned her X-ring by graduating from StFX’s Masters of Education program in 2021.
